Disaster at Martinsville First!

December 21st, 2007

East Hall

When I heard that the boiler exploded at my home church in Martinsville, Indiana, I couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t until people sent me pictures that the truth of the situation started to sink in. Check out the Reporter Times article outlining the events that transpired. Thankfully, not one person was injured. I refuse to think about the horror that could have been if this explosion would have happened on a Sunday morning. God was truly taking care of His people. My mother took a few breathtaking pictures of the aftermath, and I posted them to my flickr account. Pastor Allen is unsure as to when the church will be open for services. As for this Sunday (12/23/07), services will be held at theĀ  Martinsville High School auditorium.

Expect more information and pictures from the service to be held at MHS in the near future.
